In 1971 went to court to ensure her early work was not seen, claiming it damaged her career.
The defence being outmoded clothes were the reason for this.
Had a tendency to want only the left hand side of her face filmed.
Managed to win an Oscar when a career with few highlights was on the slide.
Interestingly adopted a two year old girl who was in fact a child she had with Clark Gable
The girl was not told until 1966 and the world not told until 1994.
