Things were not going anywhere much until Thalberg 1927.
Suddenly a leading lady.
He died in 1936 and MGM had her as major shareholder.
She did not deserve her last few years decline though.
Loss of sight, failed memory, depression and mental decline.
"Are you Irving? Were we married?" she asked one of her last visitors.
