The publicity blurb was she was discovered sitting in a cafe and offered a film role.
The same blurb lists her hobby as poultry-rearing.
Went to school with Vivien Leigh (came second to her in prettiest girl competition)
Appeared in lots of movies and you'll barely see her in most of them.
Does have the distinction in appearing in The Devil-Doll [1936], something of a favourite of mine.
Probably most obviously on-screen in Hide Out [1934]
Also appears in the interesting Just Imagine [1930] which is set in 1980.
Her great contribution to films being Jane in the Tarzan movies of the 1930's.
