With GL Jessop made a splendid two prong attack for Gloucestershire.
He had the unusual ability to bowl the ball in such a way as to gain pace when leaving the wicket.
He was shaping up to be a bowler of consequence until he ended up a rather rounder shape than overall fitness would suggest is wise.
His career statistics therefore do not do his earlier bowling abilities justice.
Something of a lost talent really.
