Played for Gloucestershire between 1903 to 1925.
Jessop discovered this fellow playing in Bristol club cricket.
Promoted to the county side his bowling took a fearful beating at the hands of Middlesex who made 248 for the first wicket.
However this failed to really damage Dennett's mental outlook.
In 1907 he had a moment of brilliance when he bowled out 8 Nottinghamshire batsman for only 9 runs.
In 1912 he dismissed the last six Kent batsman in 20 balls and no runs.
Did his bit in the First World War having also served in the South Africa War.
